This photo was made during a bike race in Oregon. The riders were speeding around this corner during a criterium race, and i was about 2 feet from them as they whipped around the corner.

Looking back, it really wasn't a very safe place to be for me or for them. But they probably had good control going into that turn, and I really wanted to get close, so that's where I was. If someone really wanted me out of there, they would have yelled.

I shot the photo with on-camera flash covered in amber colored gel to light the biker and freeze the action.
